“Lucy” Gong Ting (龚婷)

Meet Gong Ting (龚婷) aka Lucy a high school student living a few hours outside of Deng Jia Xiang.

Lucy lives with her parents and younger sister Xuemei on their farm. Her parents were away in the village selling their crops so Lucy prepared this amazing lunch for our visit:

Beans and vegetables fresh from the garden!

Their house was one of the lucky ones to survive the quake, but not without damage. The girls spend most of their time at school, watching dramas, learning English and helping take care of the farm.
